Many people dont realise how much work goes into every surfboard. Now you also know why it takes three weeks on average to deliver a custom order. In our humble opinion, surfboards are chronically underpriced given the amount of time and skill invested in each one. The problem is, there are plenty of cheap surfboards, in every sense of the word, available on the market. They may have been shaped by a machine in Oz and glassed in a finishing factory in Thailand, but once they've got a coat of spray lacquer on them they look ok in the shops so they sell. Look at it this way, in 1982 the price of a sprayed shortboard in England was £250, in 2007 the price is around £385 which is an increase of only 40% in 25 years! Only 10% in the last 6 years! The cost of materials and labour, in comparison, has gone up just a touch more than that!!

Finally, if you're in St. Agnes, Cornwall and you see some glassy eyed zombies wandering around, that'll be our team, just gently direct them back to the factory please!
