mid lengths are made to the same exacting standards as our other surfboards.

2008 range features two distinct models with differing degrees of
sophistication
and the prices detailed reflect the features and hardware included in each
package.
The
Original is a traditional minimal, the kind of board many people are
familiar with as a beginners surfboard. This model which features
Fin Solutions continues
to be very popular. Mini Mal's have had a bad press due to the
manner in which some factories use them as a training program for their
least experienced shapers and use cheaper materials as they're "only for
beginners". We take the opposite view, experienced surfers can ride
practically
anything but the less experienced, or learners, need all the
help we can give
them. These models receives the same attention to detail and
uses the same
premium quality materials as one of our high performance
shortboards. Therefore, all craftsmanship and materials are guaranteed.
The
Challenger, our mini Longboard if you like, really is a scaled down
longboard
with the appropriate rail shapes, bottom contours, the lot. It
isn't just
another minimal. When we developed this model in 2000/2001, it
was to meet
a change in the market for surfboards we felt sure was coming.
People want
the trim and glide characteristics, not to mention the easier paddling, of a longboard
without the hassle of a 9'3''. This model addresses that demand and much as we
hate to say it, we were right, take a look around the marketplace now, or pick
up any surf mag and every man and his dog now has as a "new" mid length
board, magic this or baby that. Some work and some most definitely don't. Just
take a look at the shape, it has that indefinable quality, it just looks "right". We
love this board, that's why we finish it just like premium longboard
model, fin box and Beach Beat glass fin with side
fins. We only have one problem with this model, we can't keep
any in the shop! If you ever see one second hand our advice is
buy it, we would!
